Thailand holds so many choices for the budding expat do you like the quiet life with the occasional jaunt out in the evening our weekend our for the thrill seeker there are entertainment centres that seem to stay open late into the night with beautiful dark skinned hostess Thailand offers a laid back lifestyle

That would be very difficult to fund in any western country
And if your chosen sport is golf then you will find golf courses even in udon thani issan my adopted city a round of golf including a caddy can be had for 10 us dollars further north is Nong khai 630 km from Bangkok it's located right on the bank's of the great maekong river which starts in the Himalaya and ends in the sea at the Mekong delta The city is a great jumping of point for tours to lao you can arrive in Laos capital within 90 minute.s of leaving nong khai with easy access via the friendship bridge which is open from early morning until late in the evening
North eastern Thailand offers beautiful scenery and a great selection of national parks With good quality Local hotel's at very reasonable prices
The local issan people are much more down to earth then there fellow Bangkok countrymen Udon Thani province and issan (isan) offers you a chance to experience traditional Thai culture without missing out on those luxury's most expats require
